Home for everyone, everywhere: Concepts of home in 21st-century art and society The many meanings of home lie at the centre of this book. How do people find and form a sense of home in our fast-paced, ever-changing societies? The urgency of this question can be traced through the art of the 21st century, in which themes of home, migration and belonging are addressed in both poetic and direct ways. Home has multiple meanings across different societies. It has long since ceased to refer only to a physical place.
